The Native Plant for Southeast Virginia guide highlights native plants found in Southeastern Virginia, including the "Hampton Roads" region.  

This area encompasses the entire Southern Coastal Plain Physiographic Province (south of the James River, east to the Atlantic coastline and west to the Fall Line), and a portion of the Northern Coastal Plain Physiographic Province (north of the James River), as well as a portion of the Outer Coastal Plain Physiographic Province, including:
